Dr. Neumeier is a Postdoctoral Scholar with the UAB Lakeshore Foundation Research Collaborative. Dr. Neumeier's current work focuses on utilizing a web platform and motivational interviewing to promote health and well-being for people with disabilities. He has focused his career on investigating the link between psychology, exercise, nutrition, and obesity. Dr. Neumeier received his Masters and Doctorate degrees from the Lifespan Developmental Psychology program at UAB, and was also a pre-doctoral trainee with the UAB Nutrition & Obesity Reserach Center. Dr. Neumeier's work has focused on interactions between behavior, exercise, and nutrition in a variety of populations including children, older adults,veterans, and people with developmental disabilities. Dr. Neumeier's thesis focused on whether frequency of exercise had a differing effect on a variety of psychological outcomes and his dissertation work investigated cognitive fatigue and exercise's impacts on eating behavior.
