I earned my BA in Sociology and BS in Exercise Science from Truman State University in 2009. The following Fall I began the Medical Sociology Ph.D. program at UAB. My research interests include prenatal exercise and how they relate to perinatal outcomes, as well as how to improve exercise adherence among pregnant women. In my free time I enjoy running and playing volleyball. My passion for exercise and being active has been a source of motivation for my research interests.
