The University of Alabama at Birmingham [1] Nutrition & Obesity Research Center (NORC) [2] scientists placed first, second, and third with T32DK062710-funded abstracts for which NORC Director David B. Allison, PhD [3], is principle investigator in Session Two of the annual Postdoctoral Research Day competition hosted by the Office of Postdoctoral Education [4] and the UAB Postdoctoral Association.
UAB faculty and Southern Research Institute (SRI) [5] scientists judged 60 abstracts presented over six sessions and scored on clarity, the significance of the research, and the scientific approach to the problem.
